Phew..it's been a long..long time and it's a new year. Happy New YEar!! this year everything is different. my hubby is doing his phD in liverpool starting december last year. yup, we're in liverpool now, trying to adjust in this new life, new weather, new environment :)
we safely arrived here on the morning of 29/11/09. the journey here was very tiring. it's definetly hard, flying for about 15 hours straight and it was even harder travelling with two babies..but alhamdulillah, we got through it and here we are!
my 2 girls are beginning to adjust to the cold winter weather. they've passed through the fever/flu phase, alhamdulillah. both of them had fever on the 1st week here, qyst with a scary 40 deg C fever, which caused us to rush her to the clinic (thanx to a friend). adik, on the other hand i think has a stronger immune system. she only had fever of 38 deg C and was better after taking some pcm. now the girls are fine, and don't seem to be bothered much with the cold weather. maybe it's true what they say that children do adjust quicker to new environment thn adults.
as for me..well, i'm a full time housewife now (my dream job btw). everyday is a busy day with these 2 active children. especially now, adik wants to cling with me all the time! and she likes to cry! manja betul..
to tell you the truth, living here is way different than m'sia and it's not just the weather. everything is different. the house, the way of living, the people, the language, everything! it was challenging starting a life here, but alhamdulillah, the were many kind saudara semalaysia that helped us a lot. without their help, i don't think that we can survive here..
now we are ready to face all the upcoming challenges in the new year,insyaAllah.
ps:- having high IELTS band does not make you a fluent english speaker. i happened to experience that first hand here.tonggang terbalik speaking ngan mat saleh.hahaha
